Sweet Ideas, now open seven days a week for your convenience, is becoming exactly the family destination we envisioned when we set out on the journey toward becoming Lethbridge’s very own candy shop. The ingenuity and nostalgia from our customers have made Sweet Ideas the fun place you see when you stop by. Much to our delight, people continually leave feeling better than when they came in, which means we’re fulfilling our mission in Lethbridge!
It was a rollercoaster of a ride as we rushed through our fifth Christmas last month, but we rose to the challenge and loved every minute of it. The old fashioned candy, imported candy, Candy Bouquets, and novelty candy still provided the foundation for the store, but we added novelty and prank gifts, Super Stuffer Balloons, unique plush and PEZ collectibles, and we’re trying out a few Wacky Packages to see how they’ll go over.
We at Sweet Ideas have set our sights on having the best customer service, the highest quality products and the best variety of any shop in the city. Our continuous search for that hard-to-find novelty or old fashioned candy is what sets us apart. We have been called upon on numerous occasions to make events special by producing that one item remembered by families for weddings, parties, customer appreciation days, shows and even funerals. In our opinion, candy enhances any event.
As a member of EWI (Executive Women International), Sweet Ideas has developed closer ties to the community and found new ways to support minor sports, community groups and local not-for-profit organizations. The opportunities are endless, because the needs are great here. It is a pleasure to be part of a community that cares so much for their most vulnerable members.
Our new hours are 10-6 Monday-Wednesday, 10-9 Thursday-Friday, 11-9 Saturday and noon-4 Sunday, but if you’re experiencing a candy emergency during off hours, you can call (403) 393-6025, and we’ll see what we can do to help you out.
